Shelbia Jackson is the founding Director of DeKalb County’s TV/Film, Music, and Digital Entertainment Office, also known as the DeKalb Entertainment Commission. She has secured and managed a $1.5M budget and worked with over 500 production companies, processing 1K film permit applications that generated $1M in revenue. Under her leadership, DeKalb's creative economy has seen a $1.377B economic output. Shelbia has established a unified film administration process across DeKalb, contributing to major projects like Bad Boys 3 and P-Valley. She has also built strong strategic partnerships with local, regional, and global organizations to enhance the county's film production industry. She is involved in public speaking and marketing events that promote DeKalb as a “camera-ready” community.
