Where will the Decatur Book Festival take place?

For the past two decades, the Decatur Book Festival has taken place in the heart of Decatur, Georgia across a multitude of venues including the First Baptist Church of Decatur, the Marriott Courtyard Hotel, the Decatur Library, the Reading Room, The Task Force for Global Health Headquarters and the Decatur Square.

Do I need to RSVP or buy tickets to the Festival?

​

The Decatur Book Festival is free and open to the public with the exception of a few special events.

​

 

Where can I buy the authors’ books?

​

Featured works by Decatur Book Festival authors are available for pre-order and can be purchased onsite at the festival through our independent bookseller partners — Brave + Kind Book Shop, Charis Books & More, Eagle Eye Book Shop, Little Shop of Stories, and Tall Tales Book Shop.

Will authors sign their books? 

​

Yes! Authors will sign their books immediately after each panel session. However, each author may have specific preferences for the quantity of books per attendee, signing items other than books and allowing photography. When possible, these preferences will be indicated in advance on the website and noted by moderators prior to book signing.
