Our Mission

Our mission is to encourage a love of reading, inquiry, and conversation in people of all ages and backgrounds; to build an enthusiastic and inclusive community of readers and writers throughout the Atlanta metro region; and to empower our partners and attendees through diverse opportunities for social, creative, and intellectual engagement. As a literary event that celebrates the work of established and emerging writers across genres—children’s literature, YA, adult fiction and nonfiction, and poetry—we invite readers and authors to connect around the questions and insights that are central to the humanities, specifically how people tell stories, document their histories, and interpret and express the human condition.
