Mathwon R. Howard

Mathwon R. Howard serves as Associate Vice President for Development at Yale University, overseeing Leadership Giving, Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Prospect Development, Reunion Giving, and the Yale Alumni Fund. He focuses on best practice application in regional and pipeline development, fostering key relationships with donors and alumni. Prior to Yale, he was Senior Associate Vice President for Development Programs at Emory University, with over 28 years of experience in advancement, major gifts, and alumni relations. Mathwon has also worked with Duke University, the University of Michigan, Binghamton University, and the Detroit Zoological Society. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Leadership and Public Administration from Adrian College, where he served on the Alumni Board. Mathwon enjoys public speaking, collecting art, reading, writing, and spending time with his children.
