About the Authors
Natalia Hernandez is an Indigenous, Latinx, and queer author who now resides in Atlanta with her cheagle, Mija. As an avid reader and passionate writer, she loves to create fantasy novels that feature strong women of color in sweeping Latin American–inspired settings. Her novel The Lost Guardian, which comes out October 6, 2026, is a gender-swapped The Mummy meets Atlantis, in which a nerdy historian and brash gunslinger must unearth the tomb of the last Incan emperor.
M. K. Lobb is a fantasy writer with a love of all things dark— be it literature, humour, or general aesthetic. She grew up in small-town Ontario and studied political science at both the University of Western Ontario and the University of Ottawa. She now lives by the lake with her partner and their cats. When not reading or writing, she can be found at the gym or contemplating the harsh realities of existence. Her new book is The Dark in Her Veins.
About the Moderator
