About
Join us in the Decatur Library to hear from Emerging Student Writers! These special sessions feature talented student writers from Georgia colleges reading their original work in 45-minute sessions throughout the day.
The stage will be situated alongside The Book As Art v.14: Ghosted exhibit, creating a vibrant atmosphere where visual art and creative writing come together.
This session will be held on the Fourth Floor of Decatur Library. To reach the Fourth Floor, you'll need to take the elevator on the right (when you're facing the elevators–it's labeled). If the other elevator opens when you call, please take it to the third floor, exit, and press the up button again to call the correct elevator.
This event is free and open to the public. No tickets are required, and seating is first come, first served. Emcee: Matthew Skwiat

Jeremiah Moseley is a Morehouse College student studying biology and Chinese who enjoys writing and exploring different areas of knowledge and culture.

Elijah Qualls is a Senior political science major from Morehouse College who enjoys reading and writing fictional political commentary. He wants to pursue his PhD in international relations to become a professor and author to explore political complexities through a fantastical lens.

Ayodeji Rodriguez (pen name is Ayinde) loves writing poetry and all things creative.

Willie Wasson is a senior English major at Morehouse College, a UNCF Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellow, and an Oprah Winfrey Scholar from Fort Worth, Texas. His interdisciplinary research examines how Afro-Latinos mobilize technologies of memory through Afrofuturist practice to recover histories suppressed by colonialism and mestizaje and imagine self-determined futures. Wasson has served as a teaching fellow for the Afro-Latin Experience course and as Editor-in-Chief of Litteratus, Morehouse's humanities journal. He plans to pursue a Ph.D. in English and become a professor, scholar, and mentor. Beyond the books, Willie loves classic movies, especially campy B- movies!
