Bailee Yarbrough

Before stepping into her role as Executive Director of the Decatur Book Festival (DBF), Bailee Yarbrough served as a festival volunteer and was an active member of Decatur’s literary community. She previously held leadership roles at Dow Chemical Company and ExxonMobil, where she managed large-scale projects, multimillion-dollar budgets, and cross-functional teams. With a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, Bailee brings a strategic, analytical approach to guiding DBF’s continued growth and sustainability. After pausing her corporate career to focus on her family, she returned to her creative roots through writing and community involvement. Outside of work, Bailee is an avid reader and member of the Atlanta Writers Club and Sisters in Crime. She enjoys visiting the library with her daughter and spending time with her family in Decatur.
