If you are an author or publisher interested in participating in the 2026 Decatur Book Festival, please review the criteria below before submitting an author inquiry and email us at programming@decaturbookfestival.com.

To be considered, authors should ideally have a new or forthcoming book releasing in Fall 2026. Titles published earlier in 2026 may also be considered, though fall releases align best with the festival dates of October 2–3, 2026.

All submissions are reviewed by the Decatur Book Festival Programming Committee, which vets inquiries and curates festival programming. We strive to present a wide and diverse array of genres, perspectives, and audiences, and submission does not guarantee an invitation to participate.
