Jina DuVernay

Jina DuVernay is a librarian and arts and cultural consultant. As the Adult Services Manager for Gwinnett County Public Library, DuVernay manages programs and services for adults including author talks. She has published several professional articles and book chapters and is a freelance writer for Sisters from AARP and American Greetings. DuVernay is also an editor for midnight & indigo literary journal. Her creative writing has appeared in Kweli Journal.
DuVernay holds a Master’s degree in Liberal Arts from Auburn University at Montgomery and a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Alabama. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Humanities at Clark Atlanta University.
