About

Deep sea treasure hunting. Supersonic water walking. Swimming with sharks.

Lincoln and Hudson Dupré are brothers with active imaginations. When one of their imaginary adventures leads to the outdoor pool at the recreation center being closed, they’re faced with a choice: join the Sharks swim team or miss out on swimming altogether. But Coach Strickler is old-school and runs his team by the rules. Will the boys outwit their coach, make practice fun—and make the team?

Join author-illustrators Jarrett and Jerome Pumphrey as they share the story behind their hilarious middle grade graphic novel series filled with wild imaginations, brotherly mischief, and the adventure of trying to outsmart a no-nonsense swim coach.

Following the panel, authors will proceed to signing tables to autograph books.

Purchase your book from Little Shop of Stories using this link, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the festival.

About the Moderator

Patty Reeber is the Youth Services Manager at Gwinnett County Public Library. She has loved reading for as long as she can remember. As a child, she often picked up books around the house that she probably shouldn't have been reading, and she was always at the library. She got a job working in the public library in Rome, GA in high school and decided that was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. She got her Masters in Library Science from the University of Maryland and worked for 10 years with the DC Public Library, before coming back to Georgia for her current job. She loves fantasy, sci-fi and mysteries and has a special love of picture books. She will talk your ear off about the importance of reading to young children and brain development if you give her the chance, and she will tear up when she talks about the impact public libraries have on the community. Don't even get her started. When she's not working, or reading, she can be found doing publicity things for the Town & Gown Players, a community theater in Athens, GA.
