It's never too early to celebrate Halloween! Illustrators Rebecca Green (How to Make Friends With a Ghost) and Tad Hills (Duck and Goose, Honk! Quack! Boo!) take the stage to share some not-so-scary stories.


Rebecca Green

Rebecca Green is an illustrator, painter and make-believe maker who spends her days (and sometimes nights) illustrating for children’s and young adult books, magazines and galleries. While she would not describe herself as brave, she loves all things spooky and mysterious. How to Make Friends with a Ghost is her first picture book. She lives in Nashville, Tenn.

Tad Hills

TAD HILLS is the author and illustrator of the highly acclaimed New York Times bestselling picture books Duck & Goose, Duck, Duck, Goose, Duck & Goose Go to the Beach, How Rocket Learned to Read, and Rocket Writes a Story. His board books include the ALA-ALSC Notable Children's Book What's Up, Duck?; Duck & Goose Colors;and, most recently, Duck & Goose, Let's Dance! Laurel Snyder

Laurel Snyder is the author of many books for children, most recently a middle grade novel, Orphan Island, and an early chapter book, Charlie and Mouse. Laurel also teaches at Hamline University, in the MFA in writing for Children and Young Adults. A Baltimore native, she now lives happily in Ormewood Park.
