Tyra Douyon is an English education major and professional writing minor at Kennesaw State University. She is from Bronx, New York, and enjoys traveling, reading, and writing in loud spaces. You can find her on any given day perfecting a lesson plan, cooking copious amounts of food for herself, and trying to find discount airline tickets. Her poems focus on themes like religion, loss, heartbreak, and family. She is currently working on her first chapbook that she hopes to publish later this year, Conversations with My Body.
