Taylor Lewis

Atlanta native Taylor Alyson Lewis is a senior at Spelman College majoring in English with a concentration in writing. She focuses on sexuality, gender, personal and collective histories, and liberation in her work. In spring 2017 Taylor was awarded the Edith A. Hambie Poetry Prize—the Academy of American Poets undergraduate prize at Spelman—for her poem “Maurice, Louisiana, 1941.” She is a member of Sigma Tau Delta International English Society, where she serves as the Alumnae Liaison. Taylor plans to pursue an MFA in poetry.
