A Year Round Literary Community
The Decatur Book Festival is the largest independent book festival in the country — but that's not all we do! All year long, the organization behind the festival promotes literacy and an interest in books in and around the Atlanta area. In the Festival's off season, we host a series of fundraising and literary events, bringing names such as Salman Rushdie, John Lewis, Alice Walker, Roy Blount Jr., and Paula Deen to Decatur for readings and signings.
