Author Jerry Wilson, presenter for “Managing Brand You” is appearing on Saturday 9/4 at 4:15 in the First Baptist Church. That info is correct on the website, but please be advised that on the printed program schedule, it is listed incorrectly.
Author Ahmad Meradji is presenting “Making Self-Publishing Work For You” at the Decatur Conference Center Auditorium at 5:30 on Saturday. This information is correct on the online schedule, but is not listed on the printed program schedule.
Cancellations
Author Mark Childress has had to cancel his appearance. He was to be part of the panel: More than the Mason-Dixon: Writing Honest Southern Works, Sunday, 3:45 at First Baptist Decatur Carreker Hall Stage The panel will go forward, otherwise as planned, with Thomas Mullen moderating Wayne Caldwell and Raymond Atkins.
Author Brad Watson has had to cancel his appearance at the Festival. He was originally part of the “Short Fiction Sensations” panel on Sunday at 5:00 on the Decatur Library stage. The panel will continue with Alex Taylor and M.O. Walsh, moderated by Elizabeth Anderson from Charis Books.
Poet Laure-Anne Bosselaar has had to cancel her appearance at the Festival. Alice Friman will be replacing her in the conversation with Kurt Brown and Jim Murphy Saturday at 12:30 in the City Hall venue.
Jacky Davis and David Soman—author and illustrator of the Ladybug Girl series—have had to cancel their appearances at the Festival. The Ladybug Girl parade will still go on as planned on Sunday morning, however. Krista Gilliam, manager of Little Shop of Stories, will read a Ladybug Girl story to the audience at the Children's Stage during the noon slot when Davis and Soman were to have appeared. Books will be available for purchase afterward.
Kirsten Miller has had to cancel her presentation on the Decatur Conference Center Stage (Ballroom A) from 4:15-5:00 on Saturday. She will still present on The Escape Teen Stage on Sunday at noon, however.
Sharon Bowers — author of Candy Construction — has had to cancel her appearance at the Festival. She was scheduled to appear on Sunday, 3:45 at Decatur Conference Center Auditorium.
Howard Bryant has had to cancel his appearance at the Festival. He was scheduled to speak about his book, The Last Hero: A Life of Henry Aaron, at the First Baptist Carreker Hall Stage on Saturday at 4:15.
Elizabeth Nunez has had to cancel her appearance at the Festival. She was scheduled to appear on Saturday at 4:15 at the Decatur Library Stage.
