Closing Picnic

Zydeco Picnic Features Food From Area Restaurants

Close out another great AJC Decatur Book Festival with friends old and new, sample some of Decatur’s best food—and maybe even dance a little jig to the musical stylings of Zydeco T—at one of our favorite new traditions: the closing picnic.

The 6 p.m. picnic on Sunday, September 5, will feature food from some of Decatur’s top restaurants including Noodle, Watershed, and Ted’s Montana Grill to name just a few. As part of a tribute to New Orleans at the Festival, the popular band Zydeco T will play at the Decatur Bandstand and encourage dancers to celebrate the sounds of Louisiana.

“Most people from around Atlanta know Decatur as a great place to come and eat and drink, so we’re highlighting that great aspect of our city’s character to show off some of the restaurants that we’re really proud of,” AJC DBF Executive Director Daren Wang said.

While the Zydeco T concert is free, tickets for food are $10 at the gate and include coupons for five small plates of food from participating restaurants.

See you there!
