A Weekend Festival and a Year Long Literary Movement!

The AJC Decatur Book Festival is the largest independent book festival in the country––but that's not all we do! The organization behind the festival promotes a year-round literary community by hosting a series of fundraising and literary events. All year long, the organization behind the festival promotes literacy and an interest in books in and around the Atlanta area. In the Festival's off season, we host a series of fundraising and literary events, bringing names such as Salman Rushdie, John Lewis, Alice Walker, Roy Blount Jr., and Paula Deen to Decatur for readings and signings.
