Information for Authors

The AJC Decatur Book Festival has drawn over 600 world-class authors from all genres to Decatur, Georgia since the launch of the 2006 Festival, including 10 Pulitzer Prize winners and three National Book Award winners. Featured authors for each year’s event are by invitation only. However, the festival offers authors the following opportunities:

Local Prose Stage

Georgia authors of fiction and nonfiction may apply for a fifteen-minute appearance on the Local Prose Stage. Send an email to localprose@decaturbookfestival.com for more information.

Local Poets Stage

Georgia poets may apply for a fifteen-minute appearance on the Local Poetry Stage. Send an email to localpoets@decaturbookfestival.com for more information.

Emerging Authors Stage

Presented by Atlanta Writers Club.
