Volunteers

It takes hundreds of volunteers to put on a world class Book Festival. We hope you will join us for this important event to Decatur and to the metro-Atlanta area. You will be an ambassador for Decatur as well as for the Book Festival.

There is a wide variety of volunteer opportunities at the festival to choose from, including Set Up, Close Down, Author Talk/Book Signing Venue Support, Book Market on the Square Support Services, Children’s Area, Volunteer/Exhibitor Check In, and more. There are also leadership opportunities available for those who would like to be a Stage Captain at a festival venue. There are areas that are perfect for groups, such as school, civic, book club, business or other groups that would like to volunteer.
