

Whit Gibbons is a professor of ecology at the University of Georgia and the former Head of the Environmental Outreach and Education Program at the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory. He has written over a dozen popular and scientific books and booklets on the reptiles and amphibians of the United States including "Snakes of the Southeast," "Turtles of the Southeast," "Frogs and Toads of the Southeast," "Guide to the Reptiles and Amphibians of the Savannah River Site," and "Amphibians and Reptile of Georgia."
