A native of France where she was trained as a dancer, Brigitte Byrd is the author of "Fence above the Sea" (Ahsahta, 2005) and "The Dazzling Land" (Black Zinnias, 2008). Her third poetry collection, "Song of a Living Room, is scheduled for fall 2009 (Ahsahta Press). She currently lives in Atlanta and teaches Creative Writing at Clayton State University.
