

Mary Ann Rodman's picture book "My Best Friend" was awarded the Ezra Jack Keats and Zolotow Awards for best picture book text. Her middle-grade historical fiction "Yankee Girl" was named a NCSS Best Trade Book and a Voice of Youth Advocates "Top Shelf Fiction" and has been a finalist for seven state book awards, including the Rebecca Caudill Illinois State Award. Her newest book, "Jimmy's Stars," is a middle-grade fiction that takes place in WWII Pittsburgh, and has received starred reviews from Booklist and Kirkus Reviews.
