

The Big Read is a National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) project designed to increase literary reading, and one of this year’s Big Read picks is the 1920’s novel “The Great Gatsby.”
DBF is teaming up with The Margaret Mitchell House & Museum’s Literary Center, the Georgia Center for the Book, and the Georgia Council for the Arts to provide a series of events to bring people together to talk about “The Great Gatsby.”
The featured event at the festival will be the Big Read’s booth in the book market, where festival attendees will be encourages to buy a copy of the classic novel for themselves and to purchase books that will be donated to at-risk youth
