It takes hundreds of volunteers to put on a world class Book Festival. We hope you will join us for this important event to Decatur and to the metro-Atlanta area. You will find a wide array of volunteer opportunities to choose from at the festival, including set up, close down, volunteer/exhibitor check in, Book Market on the Square support services, Children’s Area, author assistants, concierge attendants, book signing venue support, and more. There are also leadership opportunities available for those who would like to take charge of a festival area.
There are areas that are perfect for groups. Please contact us if you have a school, civic, book club, business, or other group that would like to volunteer. Invite your friends, family, and coworkers to volunteer. Tens of thousands of attendees are expected at the festival and we are looking for lots of volunteers to help with this important event. You will be an essential ambassador for Decatur, as well as for the AJC Decatur Book Festival.
You may sign up to volunteer at the festival by completing the form below. Signing up is simple. You can print out the form, complete it by hand, and fax it to (404) 371-1593, or drop it off at Decatur City Hall (Decatur Downtown Development Authority office on the second floor) at 509 N. McDonough St. (at the corner of Trinity Pl.).
