Second Annual AJC Decatur Book Festival Dates Announced

2007 AJC Decatur Book Festival Set for Labor Day Weekend, Aug. 31–Sept. 2

The 2007 Atlanta Journal-Constitution Decatur Book Festival will be held on Labor Day weekend (August 31-September 2), Daren Wang, Executive Director of DBF, announced recently.

“I am thrilled about everything this year’s event has to offer,” Wang said. “With the sponsorship of the AJC, the Georgia Center for the Book, and our other partners, the 2007 Decatur Book Festival undoubtedly will attract the type of high-caliber writers that made last year’s inaugural event such an overwhelming success.”

Over 50,000 people attended the 2006 Decatur Book Festival. The festival, described as “three days of literature, music, and food,” attracted over 125 world-class authors, including 3 Pulitzer Prize winners and one Caldecott winner.
