Tom Franklin

Tom Franklin, from Dickinson, Alabama, is the author of Poachers and Hell at the Breech, both published by William Morrow. Recipient of a 2001 Guggenheim Fellowship, Franklin has been the John and Renee Grisham Writer-in-Residence at Ole Miss and the Tennessee Williams Fellow in Fiction at Sewanee. His new novel, Smonk, will be published by Morrow in August of 2006. He lives in Oxford, Mississippi, with his wife, poet Beth Ann Fennelly, and their two children.
