Stephen Corey

Stephen Corey is the author of ten collections of poems, most recently There is No Finished World (White Pine Press, 2003). His poems, essays, articles, and reviews have appeared in dozens of magazines and anthologies over the past thirty years, among them Poetry, The American Poetry Review, Poets & Writers, The Southern Review and Shenandoah. Corey has earned writing fellowships from three state arts councils—Florida, South Carolina, and Georgia—and has three times been named author of the year in poetry by Georgia Writers, Inc. He helped found The Devil’s Millhopper, an independent poetry journal, in Florida in 1976. Since 1983 he has been on the staff of The Georgia Review, based at the University of Georgia, and is currently the Acting Editor.
