Michael Montgomery

Michael Montgomery

Michael Montgomery is the author and illustrator of Over the Candlestick: Classic Nursery Rhymes and the Real Stories Behind Them, written with his father, Wayne Montgomery. He also illustrated the picture book Night Rabbits, winner of the 1999 Parent's Choice Silver Award, and The Amazing Franklin: Or the Boy Who Read Everything, a 2005 CBC/NCSS Notable Social Studies Trade Book for Young People.

Montgomery is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and the University of Georgia. He visits schools in the Southeast with a program entitled “Drawings that Talk: How an Illustrator Communicates, An Interactive Workshop.” He lives in Dacula, Georgia, with his wife and children.
