Lisa Teasley

Lisa Teasley won the Gold Pen Award and Pacificus Literary Foundation Award for her 2002 story collection, Glow in the Dark. Her second novel, Heat Signature, will be published by Bloomsbury in August 2006, along with the paperbacks for Glow in the Dark andher debut novel, Dive, which was acclaimed in publications such as The New York Times Book Reviewand San Francisco Chronicle.

Lisa Teasley’s essays and stories have been widely anthologized, and featured in the Christian Science Monitor, Real Simple, the Los Angeles Times Magazine, LA Weekly, Essence, and National Public Radio. Lisa Teasley is the host and commentator for the first BBC Television documentary in the series “State of the Nation.” The documentary subject is this year’s prom at Chamblee High School in Atlanta.
