John Pence

John Pence is editor of The Blotter Magazine, author of a few short stories and a novel, and has worked for several years as a freelance editor helping ordinary people self-publish their books.

The Blotter, a free, regionally distributed arts and literary magazine, has quietly published the writing of professional writers and artists, along with high school kids, doctors, bartenders, traveling salesmen, and stay-home parents since May of 2003. The magazine has been available for free at bars and coffeeshops up and down the east coast, and has somehow managed to survive on private donations and ad sales for three years.

Mr. Pence graduated from the University of Virginia, and has held several real jobs in the past. He lives in Athens, Georgia with his wife and son.
