Ferrol Sams

Ferrol Sams is one of Georgia's most beloved authors. A long-time physician, humorist, storyteller and author of seven novels, he was born in 1922 in Fayetteville and has lived there most of his life. Among his best-known books are Run With the Horseman, Whisper of the River, When All the World Was Young, and The Widow's Mite. In 2006, he was chosen as the first author to participate in the "Atlanta Reads" project.
