David Fairbank White

David Fairbank White

David Fairbank White has been a reporter for The New York Times and the Journal of Commerce. He is the author of a novel, True Bearing, and his work has appeared in Fortune, New York, Parade, Reader’s Digest, and other publications.

Bitter Ocean: The Battle of the Atlantic, 1939-1945, his history of the battles between German U-boats and Allied ships in World War II, was published by Simon & Schuster in May of 2006.

White lives in New York City.
