DBF Stages

The Decatur Book Festival is packed with exciting activities for the entire family. Find out where you want to be and when.

Event Stages

The AJC DBF programming will be held at 10 different stages in the downtown Decatur area. Stages include:

1. Holiday Inn Decatur Conference Center
Attend the Antiquarian Book Fair, a workshop by the Council of Literary Magazines and Presses, or an author reading or book signing.

2. The Historic Decatur Courthouse
Enjoy author readings and fine art on display in the lobby.

3. The Bandstand on the Square
Listen to nationally touring recording artists.

4. The Decatur Square Grounds
Stop by our children’s stage—with interactive activities and presentations by top authors and illustrators—mingle with publishers and booksellers, and sample food and beer from our vendors and local wines from our wine garden.

5. Eddie’s Attic
Listen to popular singer/songwriters perform music and readings from their best-selling books.

6. Java Monkey
Enjoy spoken word performances by some of Decatur’s finest poets, or sign up to perform your own work at one of two poetry slams.

7. City Hall
Attend a reading and book signing by your favorite author.

8. The Cook’s Warehouse
Master your favorite dish during cooking demonstrations led by our cast of culinary celebrities.

9. Decatur Public Library
Attend an author reading inside.

10. Agnes Scott College
Join Arianna Huffington as she opens the event with a Keynote Address and discussion of her new book.
